Pre-Professional Program (P3)
Our pre-professional training program at CODA is based on more than seven decades of combined experience as dancers, choreographers, educators, and directors. Consistent training in the fundamental technique and artistry of dance is key to healthy professional opportunity, success and longevity. Social media-driven dance stunts and tricks may garner views and clicks, but they seldom document the resultant injuries and careers cut short by distorted use of the body.
All pre-professional students study both classical ballet and modern technique, along with body conditioning designed for dancers, in the core Technique Track. Experience has shown that dance artists who have a solid foundation in both modern and classical ballet technique are best equipped to pursue professional and higher educational opportunities.
In addition, we offer the Performance Track for those who desire additional training in other genres, such as tap, jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop. Dances for performance opportunities are also taught through the Performance Track.
